In recent years, the horse world has gone digital with a bang. Online marketplaces have become the new normal for buying and selling horses. Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram are also widely used to promote horses and connect buyers and sellers.

But don't forget that great power comes with great responsibility. And when it comes to horse trading, the power of technology can sometimes be a double-edged sword.

On one hand, the ability to reach a wider audience and see more horses for sale than ever before is a huge benefit. It's like having a virtual stable with tons of options at your fingertips but on the other hand, the anonymity of the Internet can be a breeding ground for fraud and misrepresentation.

The question is, how can you be sure that the horse you are looking at online is the real thing? The answer, my friends, is simple: Due diligence. It is important to have a professional and unbiased third party who can provide an honest assessment of the horse's condition, suitability and potential as well as a good veterinarian to perform a new PPE examination.

What about video conferencing? Well, it's a great way to see a horse without commuting, but keep in mind that a video call is no substitute for an actual review. Video conferencing can be misleading, as the horse might appear to be in better condition than it actually is or some problems may not show up on camera.

In conclusion, technology and online resources can be  valuable assets in the sale of horses, but it is important to approach these transactions with caution and use all available information to make the right decision. When it comes to horse buying, the stakes are high and the wrong purchase can lead to dire consequences. Therefore, it is necessary to be well informed and careful to avoid regrets later.
